Delta Refuses to Bow to Abortion-On-Demand Activists

Delta Airlines, the largest employer in Georgia, is standing strong against the abortion-on-demand activist mob demanding that the company boycott the state due to the latest life-saving fetal heartbeat law. “This is something that the courts need to settle and resolve, not corporate America. At least for us. I can’t win,” Delta CEO Ed Bastian said at a recent Recode conference. Bastion’s remarks come in the wake of a letter signed by more than 180 CEOs denouncing pro-life protections as being “bad for business.” Read more…

Even though practically all of Hollywood and various tech companies have threatened to boycott Georgia if lawmakers do not overturn the recently enacted fetal heartbeat law, the state’s largest employer— Delta Airlines — has opted to stay neutral.

“Delta Air Lines is one of the largest employers in Georgia, but the airline’s chief executive said Tuesday the company will not take a stand on the state’s restrictive abortion law, which other corporate leaders have called ‘bad for business,'” reports NBC News.

The fetal heartbeat law essentially bans abortion once doctors detect an unborn child’s heartbeat in the mother’s womb, which typically happens after 5-6 weeks of pregnancy. Ed Bastian, Delta Airlines CEO, said that the courts should decide the law’s fate.

Illinois Gov’t Signs Law Allowing Abortion “Until Birth”

Democratic Illinois Governor JB Pritzker just signed the nation’s most aggressive abortion law in the nation, legalizing abortion “until birth.” The legislation specifically repeals the ban on “partial birth abortions, totally ignores the concept of a baby’s viability outside of the womb, removes medical licensing requirements, and mandates that ALL (Christians included) insurance providers pay 100% of abortion costs”. It also removes the ability of medical providers to refuse to perform abortions without facing severe consequences. Read more…

Here’s more from The Daily Wire…

Illinois governor JB Pritzker signed the nation’s most permissive abortion bill into law Wednesday, as part of an effort to make abortion a “fundamental right” in the state.

The legislature passed the sweeping abortion bill last month in a whirlwind session that saw massive tax hikes and huge expansions in government in addition to this most recent abortion bill.

As The Daily Wire reported then, Pritzker’s landmark abortion bill repeals the state’s ban on “partial birth abortions,” legalizing the procedure all the way through pregnancy and up until the moment of birth. The bill utterly ignores the concept of viability, a particularly shocking development given that most states currently passing abortion-related regulations are greatly restricting the practice, not expanding it.

Gillibrand Equates Pro-Lifers with “Racists”

Glaring statistics that most aborted babies are African-American are not stopping Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) from race-baiting the abortion-on-demand Left to back her candidacy in 2020-going so far as claiming that being pro-life is like being “racist.” In what the DailyWire speculates could be “the most embarrassing campaign clip of all time,” Gillibrand shared her thoughts that the 50 percent of Iowans who oppose abortion are just un-“woke” racists: “Imagine saying that it’s okay to appoint a judge who’s racist or anti-Semitic or homophobic…” Read more…

Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand has been trailing badly in the 2020 Democratic presidential primary, so she’s been trying to make a name for herself with outlandish policy proposals and bizarre Instagram videos.

Over the weekend, Gillibrand posted what may be the most embarrassing campaign clip of all time, and followed it up Tuesday with an interview with the Des Moines Register where she insulted around 50% of Iowa residents by suggesting that opposing abortion is akin to supporting racism.

Most Democratic primary candidates are content to express their support for abortion rights but limit their criticism of the other side of the debate to complaints about being “extreme.” Occasionally, someone far to the progressive left will suggest that pro-life Democrats don’t belong in the Democratic party, or that opposition to reproductive rights has a harmful effect on women.

NYT Subs “Fetal Heartbeat” with “Embryonic Pulsing”

The New York Times just traded the medical term “fetal heartbeat” for “embryonic pulsing” in its abortion reporting. “The measure would require an ultrasound test for any woman seeking to terminate a pregnancy, and forbid abortion if the test detects embryonic pulsing–which can occur before many women know they are pregnant,” NYT reporter Alan Blinder wrote, taking the initiative to invent the entirely new term, and the New York Times actually published it. The New York Times traded in the term “fetal heartbeat” for “embryonic pulsing” in a report on Louisiana’s new abortion ban last week, playing to abortion advocates and journalists eager to downplay the realities of abortion.

“The measure would require an ultrasound test for any woman seeking to terminate a pregnancy, and forbid abortion if the test detects embryonic pulsing — which can occur before many women know they are pregnant,” reporter Alan Blinder wrote. The sanitizing language was first highlighted by Breitbart News. It’s not a medical term and was apparently invented by Blinder.

A slew of states have similar laws on the books, known as fetal heartbeat bills because they ban abortion after a heartbeat can be detected in the unborn baby.

More States Fight for Life

Although Alabama’s recent abortion legislation has taken the spotlight in the fight for the most fundamental right to life against the Left’s culture of death, at least thirteen states are considering new “pro-life” legislation. According to a report by The Hill, Alaska is considering what would be “the nation’s strictest abortion ban,” which moves to make abortion illegal and defines abortion as “murder of an unborn child.” Republican South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster has said he will sign a “heartbeat” law banning abortion at six weeks if the state Senate puts the House-passed bill on his desk. Here’s more from The Hill…

In 2019, states are taking action to restrict or expand access to abortion amid a national debate over Roe v. Wade.

Multiple states such as Kentucky and Georgia have passed bills that ban abortion once a fetal heartbeat is detected, around six weeks of pregnancy, while Alabama recently passed the strictest abortion law in the country, banning the procedure with few exceptions.

Several other states are considering “trigger” laws that go into effect to ban abortion should Roe v. Wade be overturned, while other states like New York have passed bills that enshrine abortion rights.

Pro-Abortion Activist: Pro-Lifers “Deserve to be Shot”

According to footage obtained by the pro-life group Created Equal, an aggressive pro-abortion supporter argued that pro-lifers “deserve to be shot.” “When you’re standing between a patient and her doctor, they should get what they have coming to them.” In the midst of the fight over new abortion bans across the country, the pro-abort Left is becoming increasingly unhinged. At a pro-abortion “Stop the Bans” protest on Tuesday, an angry activist blocked a pro-life protester, accusing the pro-life side of violence and eventually saying pro-life activists “should be shot.”

The pro-life group Created Equal published footage of the confrontation in front of the Ohio statehouse on Wednesday. The “Stop the Bans” movement aims to protest the recent Alabama abortion bill, which mounts a direct challenge to Roe v. Wade (1973), the Supreme Court decision legalizing the killing of unborn babies.

“You guys are yelling and cussing at people, and calling us nasty names,” the pro-abortion activist said.

“We’re not doing that to you. And so forgive me when I laugh about it. I think it’s kind of funny,” the pro-life protester responded.

Buttigieg: Protecting Innocent Babies is “Extremism”

Pete Buttigieg couldn’t resist the temptation to win over liberal 2020 voters by blaming conservative efforts to protect innocent life as “extreme.” “It is just one more example of the extremism in the modern Republican Party, and it’s our job on the Democratic side to show how all of these issues are linked,” Buttigieg told MSNBC on Tuesday. “The same place an attack on women’s reproductive rights are the same places it’s hard to get a living wage, same places you’re seeing voter suppression that seemed to be directed to communities of color.” Read more…

Here’s more from Breitbart…

Tuesday, MSNBC interviewed 2020 presidential hopeful South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg (D-IN) at a Washington D.C. protest against several state laws banning abortion.

Buttigieg said, “This is another example of an issue most Americans agree with Democrats. These legislatures adopted positions that most Americans would consider to be extreme. Most Americans believe in Roe versus Wade. Most Americans believe in women’s reproductive freedom. And the even when people have a different view or set of values around what that choice should be, most Americans believe it should be up to the woman to make that choice. So by pursuing a radical extreme agenda on these social issues, I think Republicans are doing the same thing when they have resisted a popular agenda on living wages or health care.”

“It is just one more example of the extremism in the modern Republican Party, and it’s our job on the Democratic side to show how all of these issues are linked,” he continued.

Sanders Pledges Pro-Abortion Justices For SCOTUS

Socialist Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) on NBC’s “Meet the Press” said he would defend Roe v. Wade if elected President by only nominating pro-abortion Supreme Court justices. “If you’re asking me would I ever appoint a Supreme Court justice who does not believe in defending Roe vs. Wade, who does not believe that a woman has the right to control her own body, I will never do that,” Sanders said. Similarly, in the wake of the new Alabama law defending life, Senators Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) and Cory Booker (D-NJ) both told the media they would only support pro-abortion justices. Read more…

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) joined other 2020 Democratic hopefuls on Sunday in pledging to only nominate Supreme Court justices that support the Roe v. Wade decision protecting abortion rights.

“If you’re asking me would I ever appoint a Supreme Court justice who does not believe in defending Roe vs. Wade, who does not believe that a woman has the right to control her own body, I will never do that,” Sanders said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”

He also condemned a new Alabama law that will ban abortion except when there is a threat to the mother’s life.

“What they did in Alabama was unbelievable,” he said. “The idea that women in this country should not be able to control their own bodies is beyond belief.”

Alabama Senate Passes “Human Life Protection Act” Banning Almost All Abortions

The Alabama State Senate just passed House Bill 314, the “Human Life Protection Act” banning all abortions except when the mother’s life is in jeopardy. There are no exceptions for abortions in the case of rape and incest. The bill now moves to the desk of Republican governor Kay Ivey. The ACLU is already blasting the bill: “We will not stand by while politicians endanger the lives of women and doctors for political gain. Know this, Governor Ivey: If you sign this dangerous bill into law, we will see you in Court.” Read more…

Here’s more from The Daily Wire…

On Tuesday evening, the Alabama State Senate passed House Bill 314, the “Human Life Protection Act,” which bans all abortions except if the mother’s life is in danger. No exceptions are made for pregnancies caused by rape or incest.

If Republican governor Kay Ivey signs the bill, which passed in a vote of 25 to 6 and had already passed in the Alabama House, it will become law. Before the vote was taken, Alabama Sen. Clyde Chambliss opened the debate by saying, “When is a person a person? When does a life become a life? I believe that if we terminate the life of an unborn child, we are putting ourselves in God’s place.” Proponents of the bill hope to challenge Roe v. Wade with the bill.

The bill states that “a woman who receives an abortion will not be held criminally culpable or civilly liable for receiving the abortion.”

Cold-Hearted AOC Attacks “Heartbeat” Abortion Bill

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) is at it again-this time maligning the “fetal heartbeat bill” signed by Georgia Governor Brian Kemp (R) on Tuesday. AOC attacked the bill as being a “backdoor ban” restriction on abortion after a heartbeat is detected, usually around six weeks. “There are a TON of ways this law ignores basic biology,” Ocasio-Cortez tweeted. Fifteen other states are in the process of passing or have already passed similar legislation. Read more…

Here’s more from New York Post…

Freshman Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez blasted an anti-abortion bill that was passed by the Georgia governor on Tuesday, calling it a “backdoor ban” on the procedure.

Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp on Tuesday signed the “fetal heartbeat bill,” a measure that makes it illegal to have an abortion after a heartbeat is detected in an embryo. This typically takes about six weeks.

“‘6 weeks pregnant’ = 2 weeks late on your period,” Ocasio-Cortez wrote on Twitter Tuesday night.

“Most of the men writing these bills don’t know the first thing about a woman’s body outside of the things they want from it. It’s relatively common for a woman to have a late period + not be pregnant.

“So this is a backdoor ban,” she added.
